Jeromes & Darrow column clock "Eight Day Clocks with the Improvement of Brass Bushings, Manufactured and Sold By Jeromes' & Darrow, Bristol, CT" The words "Brass Bushings", was an overpaste label over something? 8 day wood movement with 30 hour wheels and large diameter great wheels. Strikes an iron bell. Humongous iron weights, period hands, full label. Original wood dial, an original set of wood pulleys. Fabulous original portrait painting has been touched up. All 3 glasses are original, top and middle are cracked, bottom most unusual. This is a modified double decker case with top columns capped with carved pineapples, plain lower columns. 37 inch mahogany veneer case unrestored other than a couple of veneer slivers and the escutcheons missing. Working door locks with an old key.
