French crystal regulator clock. French carriage clock. French, C.1880, 3-piece mantle set of brass, cast with scrolls and pilasters and busts on the base, both sides and center. The matching candle stands have 5 lights each, and with cherub busts on the bases. Topsey carved wooden mantel clock with French 8 day time only mov't with platform cylinder escapement in ebonized and polychrome painted case with Roman numeral porcelain dial inset into Topsey's dress, c1875 French figural white metal mantel clock, Arabic motif depicting Bedouin at the reins of his blanket clad camel. Dial has applied gilt Roman numerals on blue enamel plaques and base has plaque with Arabic inscription, time and strike on bell 8 day spring driven mvt. {with pendulum} C.1875. French, Marti et Cie, Circa 1900, 8-day time and gong strike brass and enamel crystal regulator mantel clock, w/ original 2-vial compensating pendulum; multi color enamel trim on case top, bottom and bezel, and with matching polychrome wreaths on the dial. This clock is larger than average. French, Japy Freres Paris crystal regulator retailed by John Wanamaker Philadelphia - New York 8 day time and strike spring driven mvt stamped 'MADE IN FRANCE' and also stamped with Japy Freres and John Wanamaker marks in brass case on onyx base with bun feet and onyx top with beaded accent. The Arabic numeral porcelain dial with gilded engine turned bezel, has retailers name. Two vial (mercury) pendulum is orig and intact, c1900 French, Gilt brass cartel clock, Louis XVI style, C.1870 in the style of a century earlier, 8-day bell strike. Just below the dial a bust of Neptune [or Poseidon in Greek], with animated eyes that move back and forth with each tick. C.1850. French, Marti et Cie, LYRE FORM Clock, c.1890, with a ring of brilliants attached to the pendulum, and which swing from side to side. French, unsigned, very large Rococo style bracket clock with bracket, finished in Vernis Martin {or Martin Varnish}, C.1900. This clock is made in the style of the mid 1700s, and is a high quality version of an original. It has a well made Brocot escapement, and except for the suspension, the movement replicates an 18th century mov't in size and external appearance, even including a star spoked count wheel. Lacquer finish on furniture was brought to vogue by the Martin brothers in Paris in the early 1700s and has had periods of interest since then. The dial is 11.5 inches in diameter, and consists of 13 porcelain pieces attached to a brass backing. French, Ormolu and White Marble Temple motif clock with revolving annular dials, C.1875. The bell striking movement with platform lever escapement, driving two porcelain cartouche time rings, top minutes and bottom - hours, and in excellent original condition. The movement sets in a glass surrounded temple with ormolu plume filial, on a leaf cast pediment, and supported from either side by a gilt winged putti, all on an oval white base with inset floral ormolu friezes and gilded feet. French, Clock / Automaton with Barometer and Thermometer, C.1880. This is a well made and interesting piece, wound through the bottom, and actuated with a pull to the left side which allows the French, Automaton Figural clock, the dial marked LeRoy, Paris, with a windmill powered by a separate movement in the base, and a bag-piper piping while a costumed girl to the right is dancing, and behind a silvered goat is eating flowers, C.1880 French, French, attributed to Guilmet retailed by Alibert, 222 Rue Rivoli, Paris, French French, OARSMAN automaton timepiece, C.1885, a bronze sailboat setting on a nest of waves [also bronze], with the lone boatman rowing the boat due to lack of wind. The oarsman is suspended on a tri-leaf French, large Swinger, or mysterious swinging timepiece, the statue of French, Early 20th Century, MYSTERIOUS timepiece, two gilt hands attached to a large glass dial. A Swiss watch movement in each hand, one geared to turn once an hour, the other designed to turn once in 12 hours. Reutter ATMOS clock, atmospheric driven time only movement with torsion pendulum designed using mercury inside a glass tube similar to that of a thermometer to react to sensitive changes in temperature and atmospheric conditions, Arabic numeral radium painted black dial, sNo. 3705 c1926 French, uncommon Mystery Timepiece, the clock contained in a drum suspended from two parallel chains, held aloft by a female statue, c1880 French, c.1880, novelty mantel clock in the form of a gilt sedan, carried by two winged cherubs in black finish, and with a small round movement with platform, serial No. 3678.
